About San Remo – San Remo is situated at the southern entrance to Western Port Bay on the Bass Coast. The prominent bridge spanning 1 kilometer in the centre of the town will transport you across to Phillip Island by car or you can take a stroll along the pedestrian walkway with nice views over the town, the San Remo Jetty and towards Phillip Island.
You’ll find some nice cafes, bakeries, hotels, restaurants, clothing and gift shops in the main street. Across the road from the shops is a park with BBQ and picnic areas. A short walk away along the sandy beach is the San Remo Jetty where much boating and fishing activity occurs.
On the beach foreshore near the Jetty, pelicans are fed around 11:30am each day by volunteer personnel.
