About Koonwarra – Koonwarra is a very pretty rural village on the South Gippsland Highway between Foster and Leongatha.
Generally known for it’s environmental and sustainable practices, it’s a relatively small town with only a general store, plant nursery, produce stall, beauty products and massage, organic cooking school, bed and breakfast accommodation, unique furniture and an exceptional clothing shop. Each is well managed and quite unique in its presentation and highly recommended for a visit.
Things To Do In Koonwarra – You are welcome to picnic in the peaceful four acre grounds that contains an in-ground cooking pit, kitchen garden, oval, maze and substantial native trees. Even the Autumn leaves are very striking when viewed from the roadside.
Have a delicious snack at the Koonwarra Store, see what the fabulous Organic Cooking School has on offer, enjoy the fresh produce at the market on the first Saturday of every month, go for a brisk walk or envigorating bike ride on the Great Southern Rail Trail, browse through the thoughtfully designed and unique shops or book in for a relaxing massage. Whatever you choose to do, your trip will be a memorable one and you’ll want to come back for another visit very soon.
