How To Get To Fish Creek – When traveling from Melbourne, drive along the South Gippsland Highway and turn right just past Meeniyan. Follow the directions to Wilson’s Prom until you see the sign posts to Fish Creek. Being approx.165 km south-east of Melbourne, it’s a comfortable 2 hour drive which makes Fish Creek a popular destination and day trip.
About Fish Creek – Fish Creek is mainly known for its high artist population, many Art Galleries and tends to attract residents who prefer an alternative lifestyle.
Shops And Services – As well as a Mobil Service Station, General Store, Hardware Supplies, a Nursery And Fishing Shop, the Fish Creek Pub, One Fish Furnishings, The Orange Roughy Restaurant, Primary School, Fire Station, Wineries, other specialty shops and several Art Galleries you’ll find a nice range of accommodation places to choose from.
The township has mainly permanent residents, but the population swells over the holiday seasons with tourists and day travelers.
